Versace for H&M

Being ill has officially turned me into an internet shopping fiend. It's about the only thing I have enough energy and concentration to undertake. Pathetically lying in bed and scrolling with one hand through the online shopping world is about the only thing I can manage.

Yesterday marked the launch of the Versace for H&M collection. Now I couldn't make it to the shops so I sat in bed poised with two computers ready to pounce on the mirage of vibrant Versace wonders. It sold out in stores within 30 minutes. Online I encountered one frustrating crash after the next. One computer failed to work completely. I cast it out disgruntledly at my seemingly ingenious plan.

Plan B:  going solo. I could barely get through online. The few glorious moments that I actually managed to put something in my bag, I couldn't check out. Finally I had the one thing that I really wanted, the leopard print jacket. I literally jumped on the couch in excitement, fell off and realised that was probably my limit of physical exertion for the day. I sat myself down to reconfigure. Then the mysterious emptying and filling of my shopping bag happened. The jacket miraculously disappeared and reappeared continuously for around an hour whilst I could still not check out. Blood pressure rising I finally broke through. Then what did I do? I panic bought people, PANIC BOUGHT.  I suddenly decided in my delirium that I NEEDED every single piece. I grabbed what I could and began to check out. Total: £800. Now I don't actually have that amount of money in my bank so I sadly cast most of it out. Whittling it down to a more select collection I realised it was still too much..

Screw it, I decided I would make life easier for my brothers this year and just tell them what they got me for Christmas. They were very kind by the way.  So this is what I got and out of interest the less exciting black pieces sold out first, so I guess it's just as well I have a sometimes more questionable taste..

And no, I don't know what I was thinking with the pink dress. It reminds me of something you would see Barbie wearing in the 90's. The kind of thing that made me play with Ken instead. Ahh, if only my four year old self could see me now, she'd be disgusted.

Acid in Wonderland

Dream The World Awake Details: Nick Knight, Walter Van Beirendonck, Simon Foxton

I'm not ready for winter, maybe it's the fact I've been ill for three weeks now or maybe its that fact that I wish I was in Ibiza raving it up somewhere. Anyway for some reason the usual autumnal colours of fall are just not appealing to me right now.  The other day I bought a bright blue bra (called superhero blue and yes it makes me feel powerful) a yellow neon belt and a bright purple wig. I felt like I was rebelling against winter and it felt good. Being ill has also meant I've missed out on more than a handful of amazing parties. The one I'm most gutted about has to be seeing The Glitch Mob. I will post one of my favourite videos of their and I DEFY you not to sit through the whole thing. I've not been to a rave in far too long and I'm getting withdrawl symptoms and so it seems is the rest of the world.
